The FGF version of the AW ‘07 full leather Mille is quite similar to the 47180158 SPW version. Still on the fence to which I prefer. The main difference is the leather mille hood on the FGF version and the FGF version has a more distressed worn in feel compared the waxed polished look of the 0158. Click below to see pics
Stone Island Lime Green SS’04 Field Jacket

Been looking for the lime green campaign version of this piece for a while now and was pleasantly surprised to finally find one on the ‘bay. The Lino Gommato looks great in the lime green. The grey hood definitely looks better when worn out on this one and the square compass patch is a great touch. Still not to sure what you are supposed to use the big pocket in the back for. Would you pay 50,000.00 to live sleep in a tree? Saw this and immediately thought put the 000CP logo on it and might be something I’d buy. Sure it doubles as a tree house, but for 50,000.00! No thanks, would rather have the CP Tent any day. At least I could wear that one around.

Been getting a lot of interest in the Korean milles I collect and sell. While quality varies between the summer and the winter versions like all spw stuff. They definately are unique especially since you usually can’t get them officially outside of Korea.

Got my 12th Man t-shirt today and am quite pleased with the quality. The pieced came in a printed box, with a limited edition number at top. I’m usually very picky about the necks of the t-shirts I wear, but the 12th Man shirts have a nice collar material that seems like it will remain tight even after some washings. Material has an nice vintage dyed look that will go well with my new tinto.

While most would immediately say the Antique Reflective Parka and Reflective Short Hooded Jacket were the must have’s for AW’07. There were a few other gems in the collection:
Stone Island + Marsh Camo

One of my favorite pick-ups of the season inspired by WWII German marsh camo. The short hooded 47154P43. Another campaign piece that was impossible to find.
Stone Island S/S ‘05 Ultra-light Jacket

Just recently picked this one up, and am very happy with it. This one actually looks much better on, and comes in a cool pvc bag. The ultra light nylon will be great come spring. And what could be cooler than wearing the worlds lightest jacket. This piece has a full front zip and the cord cuff adjustments are much nicer than the elastic on the ss07 version.

While anyone would be proud to own either the short and long Stone Island Kevlar jacket, which is the best? Check out the side by side comparison.

The North Face 485 Collection

Everytime I look, seems another company is trying to compete with SPW as a high end sportswear brand. The new North Face 485 Collection is no exception.
Even with the high performance fabric tech like the Primaloft insulation and waterproof Gore-Tex, the line still falls short cause in end an ugly jacket is still an ugly jacket. And for 700-1200 usd a jacket, gets a big thumbs down.
Urban Protection by C.P. Company

Been a very good month for UP pieces. Managed to add both the LIFE and REM to my collection. And to celebrate , thought a proper all in one of my Urban Protection Collection would be in order. Can’t recommend these enough. They are iconic pieces that will never go out of style. And the indestructible dynafil will still look like the day they came off the factory floor.
Still for the HAMMOCK, VIEW, and YO…
LIFE - My current favorite of my UP pieces. Love the more military feel compared to the sci fi look that many of the other UP pieces have.
REM - Would have to say this is probably my least favorite of the UP pieces I have. It is quite cool that the piece transforms from a long coat to a short coat. And the mesh sleeve pocket can be very handy but the overall design just didn’t feel as special as the LIFE.
LIGHT - Definitely one of the most wearable of the UP range, but with out the torched attached the little details are easy to over look. The asymmetrical vertical zipper pocket with small compartments is a great feature. Like having cubby holes on a jacket.
