Ever wonder where the design comes from? The AW ‘05 Stone Island 4A21 gets the honor of being the first of the “Original Design” features. The 4A21 is based off the design of the WWII M-1941 field jacket, believe it or not this design is over sixty years old and was one of the most widely worn jackets by US soldiers during WWII. C.P. Company Summer Metropolis

Finally, my first summer UP piece. While the winter dynafil version is by far more iconic of the two, I quite like the look of the metro in the rubberized cotton. It definitely has a more modern feel and I can’t get enough of the black mask against the grey combo. Almost tempted to wear the mask out with this one. Click below to see full pics.

The TK Maxx craze just hit the USA! Finally some bargain action on this side of the pond. It has been confirmed that C21 in NYC was selling the Gortex, tinto terra, and multi-pocket milles for around 150!!!!! Spoke with the manager at one of the stores and they confirmed that they had them and a were bought out by a couple guys. Agvd and I are heading out on a SPW hunting day tommorrow and will post the findings on the forum. Wish us luck!

After 3 weeks of waiting Santa has finally arrived direct from his detour in Italy! Sure he arrived two days late and there was an ‘88 piece included but this will always be remembered as the ‘89 xmas for me. Included in the pick up were two ‘89 race milles, a ‘89 race gillet, a ‘89 race bag, and to top it off an ‘88 race shirt. Click below to see full pics. Enjoy!

The highest quality mille I have seen in a long time happend to be a C.P. Donna one I picked up for my wife. It seems that there is no lack of attention to detail on the women’s milles. Maybe women just demand more… For you gents out there thinking about picking up a mille for your other half, here’s a few of my wife’s milles to check out differnt styles. (I swear they’re not mine) Click below to see images.

Not sure exactly what it is about tinto terra that I love so much, but mille’s do look good when made of it. Pleased with the design of the piece but noticed that C.P. is a bit bigger than SI sizing so not sure how long this will stay in my collection. Favorite feature: Contrasting fabric around the lenses. OKI-NI have long been playing Lennon to other designers’ McCartney, so it was with great anticipation I rushed to view OKI-NI’s website when I heard there was a Stone Island collaboration. Unfortunately this was more Candy Flip than Fab Four. Ok, so there’s a box with it, and it’s limited to 100 pieces, but that’s it. A wasted chance from two companies who we know can do much better..?

Noticed a lot of people buying the 4T18 only to find that the fit of the jacket they were really looking for was the 4228. How do these two AW’06 field jackets stack up?

Always liked the idea of wearing SI shoes, but was never a fan of the pointy toe climbing ones. Just grabbed a pair of the canvas ones for myself at yoox for a bargain. Get’em before they are gone here. Don’t forget your free shipping coupon and 5% off discount in the members marketplace.
