Seems the latest chinese fake is the FGF Spring/Summer 2007 mille. While most can spot a regular fake mille, not being familiar with details on a Korean might make spotting one  a bit harder. Click below to read the fake vs real guide.

Left: Real FGF Mille. Right: China fake.

From the front it is a bit hard if you can’t actually feel the fabric, but a real FGF mille is made of a thin cotton that is about the thickness of a dress shirt. So it will wrinkle easily. The fake(on right) is polyester so usually in pics there are few wrinkles.

Left: Real FGF Mille. Right: China fake.
From the back they two look very similar, seams are in the right place and the body is pretty much the same.

Left: Real FGF Mille. Right: China fake.
The label area on the fake is a dead give away. The fake looks like they went the extra mile and put “Made In Italy” on the label, but FGF milles are all made in Korea.

Left: Real FGF Mille. Right: China fake.
On the left is a close up of a real FGF care label. It is always written in Korean! Kinda ironic that in this case you want to see the Asian writing on the tag.

Left: Real FGF Mille. Right: China fake.
Fake on the right does not have a metal snap on the breast pocket.

If you still are unsure you can see more pics of some real FGF korean milles in my previous post here:

Thanks for posting this guide. I’ve checked my Mille and it’s genuine. But that’s just bizzare.. I’ve always thought Milles were a niche product and noone would think of making a counterfeit ones… Jeeez.
