Seems the latest chinese fake is the FGF Spring/Summer 2007 mille. While most can spot a regular fake mille, not being familiar with details on a Korean might make spotting one a bit harder. Click below to read the fake vs real guide.

Left: Real FGF Mille. Right: China fake.
From the front it is a bit hard if you can’t actually feel the fabric, but a real FGF mille is made of a thin cotton that is about the thickness of a dress shirt. So it will wrinkle easily. The fake(on right) is polyester so usually in pics there are few wrinkles.

From the back they two look very similar, seams are in the right place and the body is pretty much the same.

The label area on the fake is a dead give away. The fake looks like they went the extra mile and put “Made In Italy” on the label, but FGF milles are all made in Korea.

On the left is a close up of a real FGF care label. It is always written in Korean! Kinda ironic that in this case you want to see the Asian writing on the tag.

Fake on the right does not have a metal snap on the breast pocket.
If you still are unsure you can see more pics of some real FGF korean milles in my previous post here:

The Lenses in the hood are shocking.
They look like they belong to someone with eyes at the side of there head.
Agree, as soon as I see them lenses 8 inches apart I know it was made for Jethro the redneck somewhere!!!!!!
Do any of you guys know if there is a site on which you could check Art numbers, I keep seeing some sweet vintage stuff on Ebay but am always wary.

Thanks for posting this guide. I’ve checked my Mille and it’s genuine. But that’s just bizzare.. I’ve always thought Milles were a niche product and noone would think of making a counterfeit ones… Jeeez.
