Always a bit hard to be objective when judging the harrington style reflective jackets, since the style is just not my taste. Managed to get a hold of one, so click below for the full review.

First Impressions
The antique reflective orange is the best feature on this piece, but you’ll either love it or hate it. The orange was a bit too close to a pumpkin color for my taste. The material is better on this one than the SS’07 harrington, but the design and quality falls a bit short. Overall the design goes for simplicity, but ends up feeling a little too basic for the price. Construction though made in Italy is poor and the zipper is a YKK. If you like orange and harrington style jackets it’s not a bad piece to add to your collection, but better to wait for the sales on this one.

Left: YKK zipper with reflective fabric pull. Right: White badge.
The antique reflective fabric ages better than the reflective material found on the SS’07 ones. Any scratches or blemishes look like part of the aged look of the material and is less prone to cracking. The down fall of the antique reflective is that the color looks fade and just doesn’t have the deep color of the SS’07 reflective.

Above: Fold over style pockets with snap closure.
The piece only has two pockets and is in real need of an inner pocket. The front pockets are fold over style to help keep out water, but the position and angle of the pockets make it awkward to reach in.

Left: Seams sealed with tape for waterproofing. Right: The heat bonding of the seam tape can cause wrinkling on the outerside.
Not sure who’d want to risk wearing a reflective in the rain, but the seams are taped to stop any leakage. One side effect of the tape is that if not perfectly applied, can cause some wrinkling on parts of the jacket.
