What struck me first was how much this piece reminds me of a Korean FGF mille, From the body shape down to the design details. Click below to read full review.

First Impressions
What struck me at first was how much this piece reminds me of a Korean mille, From the body shape down to the design details. Overall, its not a bad jacket, a bit small and short, but an interesting concept and one of the few attempts at something new by SPW. Black definitely isn’t the best colour way in this piece best to stick to either the light grey or charcoal.

Above: No buttons on the front would have given the jacket a more modern feel.

The main issue with the design of this piece is that you have a pair of futuristic pair of sunglasses attached to, in essence, a classic looking jacket. From the front of the jacket one would expect to see a regular mille hood on this piece, but the metal buttons in combination with the plastic sunglasses, makes this jacket feel like Michael Jackson and Devo’s love child. Having just a zipper or even just plastic black buttons would have given the jacket cleaner more modern look.

Left: YKK zipper with fabric pull. Right: C.P. Company imprinted on the watchviewer.

Besides the sunglasses the other design details are pretty standard fare. The buttons are all embossed, the zipper is a metal YKK, and the watch viewer has the CP logo printed on it. The jacket is made of the Japanese polyester nylon so has a nice stiff feel to it. Construction wise there really isn’t to much to be said and is what you would expect from a made in Italy piece.

Left: C.P. branded Barffualdi sunglasses. Right: Poor imprint quality.

The included sunglasses are another C.P. Company x Baruffaldi collaboration. The plastic feels a bit cheap and the imprint quality is very poor. There are a few extra parts that come with the glasses including two sets of temples, so the glasses can be worn alone, and an extra set of yellow lenses to match the watch viewer.

Gene, I honestly think that this would look better with those other CP Company X Baruffaldi eyewear which you got from casualscene - any chance of updating with a couple of photos at some stage?
