Been searching for the FGF Urban Protection pieces for a while and finally able to add one to my collection. Getting used to seeing an UP badge on a mille definately takes some getting used to, but the unusual design makes this a definite pick up for any collection. Click below to take a closer look.

First Impressions
The FGF UP mille is an interesting mash-up of a mille and an urban protection piece and best of all modern sizing. While hard to see from the images, the nicest thing about this piece is the fabric. It’s a very thin coated nylon that feels quite similar to the new white mesh snowflake jackets. The styling has more of a modern feel while not be so futuristic like the mille shield. The unusual design makes this a definite piece to add to the collection.

Some interesting features on this piece are shoulder loops for the hood draw stings. Inside there are posture straps like on the Urban Protection View.

The inside of the hood has a mesh lining and is fastened on by snaps. The one design feature I wasn’t so crazy about are the flap attachments on the lens flap. Instead of side snaps there are straps like on the 1988 race mille hood.
