Stone Island SS’07 Harrington vs Hooded Mesh Reflective

Cant decide on whether to pick up a Hooded or Harrington Ss’07 Reflective? Check out a quick side by side comparison.

Summary:

The hooded was definately the better looking of the two, but the mesh is too delicate, and very easy to snag. But either look great in the blue.

Hi.. the hooded piece is much the better style in my opinion.. but i dont dislike the other piece either.. but if i had to pick then the hooded version i would go for every time!!

Had both and sold both time and again, a missed opportunity on release of a classic piece IMO! Can either hold a candle to the original issue??? I don’t think so! While the Flannels 30th Birthday Piece possibly eclipsed them all?! Although the original winter version with removeable liner and balaclava in hood takes some beating & may be the best SI piece ever?!

Got both, only decided to go for the harrington in the silver colourway, like the advertising brochure. Have the Flannels reflector aswell in the blue reflective fabric so wanted a different colour. The blue is awesome when not reflecting, almost irredescent. I think they should have done the mesh covered with the blue reflective fabric and a silver mesh covering.

I prefer the Harrington as it’s ’solid’ rather than the hooded which is somewhat like an x-ray. Shame they didn’t do the hooded in the same material. I agree with Jules’ point that the original issue was the best.

I have both, same colours as in the pics. I prefer the hooded version. I dislike the harrington style as it looks cheap. I brought the harrington style jacket to complete the set. I doubt it will ever get worn.

Not had a chance to own a flannels :(

Me neither… I wonder if they even made any M-L’s in them.

I prefer the hooded version,my own personal taste.
I can see opinions for both but as the guys say the flannels classic and the winter version will stand the test of time and continue to be some of the most desired pieces ever created.

hooded all day long for me .the harrington just doesnt look ,seem or feel its worth as the hooded mesh feels and in my eyes looks its worth.
